Excellence in Journalism Awards 2014

The National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association's (NLGJA) Excellence in Journalism Awards recognize outstanding coverage of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) issues in print news, print feature, print opinion/editorial, television, radio, online, photojournalism and student journalism.

The National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association is now accepting submissions for its 2014 Excellence in Journalism Awards. Only work that was published in 2013 is eligible and submissions are due Thursday, May 1, 2014. Entries cost $25 for members and $40 for non members.

NLGJA is an organization of journalists, media professionals, educators and students who work within the news industry to foster fair and accurate coverage of LGBT issues. NLGJA opposes all forms of workplace bias and provides professional development to its members.
